The numbering system
To manage and control your drawings, it is essential to have a consistent numbering system. The following guidelines help you to keep your work organized, and use Animo 2.0's numbering system effectively:
- Use a different identifying prefix or suffix for each paper level you use. This can be a single letter or a two letter combination, i.e. A or AX.
- The identifying letters you use must be unique within a given scene, but the same ones can be used again for a different scene. If a level is re-used in another scene, its identifying letters must be different from those of any other level used in that scene.
- Drawings must be numbered in consecutive ascending order, but they need not be regularly spaced, and can include interpolated letters; i.e. a numbering system of: 1,3,5,7,8,9a,9b,9c,10,11,13,15,20 is OK. If you write down the numbers for the drawings in each level (in a string like that above), this makes number selection in the Setup Drawing Names panel easier.
- Indicate the panning peg letter near the page corner where the drawing number is written, or in an adjacent corner. Avoid writing near the center peg hole.
- Label each drawing with the scene number.
